Watch live on Twitch:
In this video (originally live-streamed on Twitch), I was asked the following question by a viewer:
“What is the main trap in the Stafford Gambit?”
I then decided to show all of the traps in the Stafford Gambit that I could think of in the moment. Although white is objectively better with precise play in the Stafford, there are SO MANY ways to go wrong and stumble into danger. Many of the trap variations feature beautiful sacrifices and mind blowing combinations. Although I go through some of them quickly in this video, I hope this offers some inspiration to win quickly and be alert for tactic in the opening!
Analyze the traps shown in the video in this lichess study:

London Opening 8-hour video course:
Pawn d3..then bishop e3..
Then what ?
It has yet to work for me…I fk myself for trying lol
How do you respond to:
e5, Ne4, Qe2
Boy, I wish I could get your opponents because NO ONE IS FALLING FOR THIS SHIT WHEN I PLAY!!!!
No matter how many 'trap' videos I watch, my opponents NEVER play ANY of these moves. 6. be3 is what I always see.

In stafford gambit what happens if white plays qd2
Oh no my elo
1:28 How about if he moves f4?
KNIGHT E4 QUEEN F3.
I just won against my big brother with this… maybe the first time I have won against him
you don’t know how many Elo’s he has more than me
I guess I can die in peace now
So is it only me or people just dont seem to fall for it is there any possible way to push people to play it?
I had an oh no my queen stafford mate today 😀
What happens after bishop goes to E3 after whites bishop develops?
What if white plays 3. Nxf7?
Rlly helpful thanks.

Great
What happens if they do knight c4 then you move bishop to c5 then he moves pawn to d4?
In future if you show us new gambit opening trap please explain or teach us this way. We understand this way very good . thank you for showing us this gambit
I literally just watched this video and someone trapped me with the stafford
it helped me so much in my games
thx
What do play for Black when 6.Be3 please?
What if they go e5 right away
What to do against d3 folllowed by bishop e2
Hi @Eric Rosen what if after pawn takes in d6 the white moves Qe2 instead of pawn in e3. Please I'm confused with this variation.
I think we need a 10 minute study like this one but for bongcloud, we must all do our part to prevent Hikaru from getting to 3000 with bongcloud only
What do you do if they play D4?
Beautiful analysis ❤❤❤
Beautiful analysis ❤❤❤
Every time we learn great traps we go on a losing streak. Thats the beauty if you don't apply your top part of body you will lose easily.
What to do if white plays Qf3?
I am here to watch this for the fourth time lol
Is there any way i can refer to that study? how do i do this please???
White bishop on B2 cancels all my traps
what if he plays pawn f3?
I am proud to say I did not know this still I discovered this in 18 November 2020
I think knight c3 is not the move after pawn c6
I tried using these moves playing against my phone but my phone never falls for the traps.
What if at 3:50 White takes the knight with the rook, instead of moving the Queen? IT would somehow neutralize Black's attack?
I have challenged my mate to defeat me when I'm playing that opening. I remember when I took the pawn exposing my Queen he jumped on it and was like 'that's a mistake'…..I 😎 replied 'naaah'
i always try Stafford and then proceed to forget theory
just played 25 games in a row and not ONE began with white E4. Everyone seeing yr Stafford video and running scared?
Every time someone accepts Stafford I come back to this video 😀
Explain me Levy's opening
What should I do if my opponent went for pawn D5 ?, attacking my knight!
What if knight runaway.
Thank you for the lesson
Hi everyone, thx Eric for the always cool, awesome content, what about when white plays early h3 like the 6th or 7th move ?
