The Most Solid Chess Opening: Berlin Defense | Best Opening Moves, Strategies, Traps & Ideas

Let’s check out the Chess Opening that most Grandmasters are playing nowadays. Even the great Magnus Carlsen plays this opening quite frequently. This opening is none other than the Berlin defense. There are various chess opening strategies, tricks, traps, moves and ideas that you can use to win more games. In this video, I will show you the Basics of the Berlin Defense, which is one of the most solid openings for both white & black. The Berlin Defence opening variation can be used by black against the Ruy Lopez opening. In this video, I have covered the 2 most important lines which can be used to either draw or force a win depending on your situation. The opening moves shown in this video will help you build a strong opening repetroire & will help you win more games.   10. 4:07 it’s not a passed pawn yet. The pawn of F7 prevents the pawn from reaching E6

    If d×e5 then bc5#
    If f×e5 then bg5#
    If black play be6 to block the check then Q×e6 is a checkmate.

    Queen to e5 would be a check and king has no squares to go so he had to take the queen if he take the queen with d pawn then bishop c5 is a chack mate and if he take the queen with f pawn than bishop to g5 is a check mate

    Black has 2 replies lets discuss them
    Black captures queen with pawn which was on f6 after that bishop g5 check is checkmate
    Black captures queen with pawn which was on d6 after that white plays bishop c5 check and that's a beautiful checkmate
