  1. Knight c6 is not good cuz u can get pinned with white bishop pin to ur king

  2. I love all your work Gotham. And I heard there's no such thing as an unwelcome YouTube comment, right? Assuming that to be true, here goes:::::: the word you are looking for is "classic" not "classical". Classic means "time honoured" and is the right choice here. Classical means "relating to a classical period", e.g. classical architecture is from Greece and Rome, that is considered the classical period for buildings. Classical music had its classical period between 1730 and 1820. Now, unless there was a classical period for chess which I am unaware of, or there was a time people dressed up in classical clothing in order to play chess, then the word you should use is ——— classic.

  3. So helpful, thank you for sharing knowledge to all!

  4. How to crush with Caro-kann and how to crush Caro-kann are two different things

  5. I suggest you guys play with stockfish , stockfish literally improves people a lot , stockfish plays moves that maybe hard to counter but it makes you stronger when you play caro kaan continously

  6. Me watching these video to learn how to get the first pawn while then accidentally blundering my best pieces…

  7. Ive legit won 16 games as black with the caro kann, this vid is the perfect caro kann guide.

  8. "1,700 or below… no one knows what they're doing" … you rang?

  9. guys Idk if anyone is watching this rn but for the carokann fantasy I remember studying an engine line like 2 yeears ago or smth which went like g6 Nc3 bg7 be3 qb6 qd2 takes rb1 qa3 be2 f6. It worked rlly well playing this line bc what the underlying plan is you get the b2 pawn (sometimes not) and then you play f6 and e5 with Nd7 and Nf6. Rlly strong line.

  10. Once o played 3.f3 and Now 3. NF6 4. Nx3

  11. if the knight is protected by qd1 rather than the bishop whats the next set of moves??

  12. Game one an IM vs an 1100 player sweating his ass off trying to defend does not give me a whole lot of confidence in the Caro-Kann

  13. you are so awesome I learned so much from you

  14. "Now In This position maybe don't castle cause you'll Hang mate like Magnus Carlsen did"💀💀

  15. bro said to read a book or watch a 3hr video on car kann then explained everytihng in 33 minutes….

  16. Thank you, Levy. I appreciate your approach to narrating the variations on this opening.

  17. To I'm a International Master without going to coaching classes just because of you thank you

  18. Didn't watch the full video, went straight into a chess game, guy had me pinned against a wall. Then he blundered his rook and gave me a checkmate immediately, 10/10 would watch again.

  19. I, personally want Gotham to do 30 minutes of straight theory

  20. 20:27 im glad you didnt play nf6 .. that would definitely be an above average move . i need to stay in my zone and take it in from my level ( for now)

  21. broooooo this opening is just sooo good i won 5 matches in a row would highly recommend it if your between 600 to 1000 elo

  22. I do the alien gambit against the caro kann

  23. Just implementing strategies in this video got me from 1200s to 1400s

  24. I tested it against a 1314 rated player. I, a 960 beat him with the caro-kann.

  25. Every time I try to play this I get Qh5 on white turn 2… Not sure what to do.

  26. After watching half this video I immediately thought myself as a GM and went to play a game…Fortunately i got black and crushed my opponent with newly learned Caro Kann…Levy never disappoints

  27. The line in the advance variation of 3. … c5 (5.24 in the video) is called the Botvinnik-Carls variation in the Caro Kann.

  28. This Gotham guy is really peeking my interest back. Good work ❤

  29. For white with the Caro – kann E4 C6 D4 D5 NF3 Takes Takes (mane line) Knight E2 (Karpov variation) QE2 and if they develop their other knight then you play Knight E3 checkmate in just 6 moves

  30. what if you push c5 they dont take you play knight c6 thwy pin your knught in b5

  31. omg it took me so long to figure out how to avoid the white knight moving to g5 stopping us from mating in the classical variation after our bishop sacrifice! lol…

  32. The problem I see right away is that at 3:03 lower ranked players will advance the h and g pawns to try to trap the bishop and you'll be forced to waste two moves to get your bishop back to g6. I can almost guarantee that they will do this. Next they will pin your knight to the your king. Any ideas on how to counter this? NM, I see he addressed this at 3:45.
