I'm seeing a few similarities to the Benko gambit with white having those a and b pawns and black the open files.Looks fun but not for the faint hearted!
Why isn't this video showing up in your uploads?
Always handy to know this, seen it before.
Eric Schiller: "An opening gambit so bad that it belongs to the bottom of the sea" – The halibut gambit.
I remember looking at lines in with opening with Nxa6 instead of Bxa6 which as far as I can tell hasn’t been played at master level. There’s a lot of interesting looking moves in this line where if white plays d4 trying to take the centre at some poin then responding with c5 with lines which lead to either slight advantages either way or 0.00 positions.
This is kind of like the Wing Gambit in the Sicilian and/or French.
Thanks, I'll try this!
Chess Giant videos rocks
Interesting, have you ever had an opponent use this?
And well done on over 9k subscribers. Not high in comparison with some but you should remember that it's tough out there and many channels never get past a few hundred subscribers.
All you need to do is throw in a few chess-boxing matches and you'll be a YouTube superstar. 😃 And no, I'm not volunteering to be your opponent!
"And we're just playing chess". Should be your catch phrase.
